TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to The Ride In. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our coaching, consulting, workshops, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By engaging our Services, visiting our website at www.theridein.com, or participating in any program offered by The Ride In, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

2. Nature of Services

The Ride In provides professional coaching, consulting, leadership development, and related educational content.

Our Services are not therapy, psychological counselling, medical treatment, or legal or financial advice. Any guidance or tools provided are for educational and developmental purposes only.

You acknowledge that you are fully responsible for your own decisions, actions, and results that arise from participation in our Services.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to engage with The Ride In’s Services. By booking a session or participating in a program, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. Booking and Payment

4.1 Scheduling

All sessions are scheduled through our online booking system (Calendly or similar platform). Session availability is subject to change.

4.2 Payment

Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as listed on our site or invoices.

4.3 Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • You may reschedule a session up to 24 hours before your appointment without penalty.

  • Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be forfeited or subject to a cancellation fee.

  • “No shows” are considered completed sessions.

  • The Ride In reserves the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances.

4.4 Packages and Programs

Coaching packages or multi-session programs must be completed within the timeframe outlined at purchase. Unused sessions after the expiry date are non-refundable.

5. Refunds

All payments for Services are non-refundable, except where required by law. We are committed to ensuring satisfaction and will make reasonable efforts to address concerns or reschedule sessions when appropriate.

6. Confidentiality

We take confidentiality seriously. All personal information shared during coaching sessions or communications is kept strictly confidential, except:

  • When disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, court order).

  • When you provide written consent for information to be shared.

While The Ride In takes reasonable steps to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security of electronic communications.

7. Intellectual Property

All materials, exercises, guides, visuals, frameworks, and written or digital content shared through The Ride In remain the intellectual property of The Ride In and its licensors.

You may use these materials solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

Reproduction, distribution, or resale of materials without written permission is prohibited.

8. Code of Conduct

By using our Services, you agree to:

  • Engage respectfully and in good faith.

  • Refrain from harassment, abuse, or disruptive behaviour.

  • Respect confidentiality and privacy of other participants (in group settings or workshops).

The Ride In reserves the right to terminate Services at any time for behaviour that violates these principles, with or without refund.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Ride In makes no guarantees about specific outcomes or results. Coaching is a collaborative process; your success depends on your own effort, decisions, and circumstances.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Ride In and its directors, officers, employees, or contractors shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages; or

  • Any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Services.

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the Services in question.

10. Privacy Policy

Use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our Services, you consent to our Privacy Policy.

11. Third-Party Tools and Links

We may use third-party platforms (e.g., Calendly, Zoom, Google Workspace, Stripe). These tools operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

The Ride In is not responsible for the practices or content of third-party websites or applications.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate a coaching relationship at any time by written notice. Upon termination, you remain responsible for any outstanding payments due.

Sections 6 (Confidentiality), 7 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 13 (Governing Law) shall survive termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.

14. Amendments

The Ride In may update these Terms periodically. The “Effective Date” at the top reflects the most recent version.

Continued use of the Services after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
